In the UK, Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPS) is a programme developed by the Royal College of Physicians with support from the Department of Health. The IQIPS accreditation framework has been developed to improve, promote and recognise good quality practice across nine physiological disciplines. In the UK, Imaging Services Accreditation Scheme (ISAS) is a programme jointly developed by the College of Radiography and the Royal College of Radiologists, with support from the Department of Health. ISAS is now used by the UK Regulator, the Care Quality Commission, as evidence to support its hospital inspection regime.
